Outreach makes it easy for you to invite everyone you know! Here’s how you can invite users to join your Outreach campaign:
Invite By Cell Phone Number:- Look for the “Invite User” buttons located throughout the app:
- In the top right corner of most screens, tap the button with your profile picture to open the click “Invite User to Campaign.”
- Under Campaign Actions in the Campaign section, tap the gear icon next to the campaign name and select “Invite User to Campaign.”
- On the person profile screen, you’ll find a button at the top. Note that you need permission to view the person’s phone number to use this option.
- Tap one of the “Invite User” buttons to open the “Invite User” pop-up.
- Enter the phone number of the person you want to invite. You can also choose whether to send them a text message notification and customize the message before sending it from your personal messaging app.
- If you have the necessary permissions, you can even decide the user’s role and permissions.
- Once you’ve made your selections, tap “Invite” in the top right. You should see a green notification confirming their successful addition. The new user can then create an account or log in to Outreach, find the campaign in their Campaign Drawer, and select it.
Inviting Users by Campaign Key:
For mass onboarding, individual invites by cell phone number might not be practical; that’s where Campaign Keys come in handy. Admins and Owners can generate campaign keys from the admin dashboard, which can be shared with individuals to join the campaign on their own. Here’s how it works:
- Admins and Owners can generate campaign keys from the admin dashboard.
- Share the campaign key or link with the individuals you want to invite.
- The recipients can enter the code or click the link and sign in to the Outreach web app to join your campaign independently.
By utilizing these user invitation methods, you can expand your Outreach campaign, bring in more users, and maximize your campaign’s impact.
Adding New People to OutReach:
What if you’ve searched for someone in OutReach but couldn’t find them in the database? No worries! You can easily add them right from the app. Here’s how:
- Search first: We encourage you to search for the person you’re looking for, even if you don’t expect to find them. This helps minimize duplicate entries. On the Search Results screen, whether you get multiple results or none at all, you’ll see a “+” button. Tap that button to add a new person.
- The “Add Someone New” Screen: When you reach the “Add someone new” screen, any information you entered during your initial search will be pre-filled to save you time.
- Complete the form: Fill in as much information as possible about the person you’ve met.
- Tags: In the “Tags” section, you can add tags to help identify who the person is and their relationship to your campaign. These tags are determined by your campaign admins. If you need a specific tag that isn’t available, contact your campaign’s designated representative and request its addition.
- Survey Questions: The screen will also display any survey questions that are part of your normal profile. Answer them accordingly, just as you would for any voter profile.
- Check Your Work: After entering all the available data, click “Add” in the top right corner. You will then see a confirmation screen where you can review the information and ensure its accuracy. We recommend showing this screen to the person you’ve met and asking them to confirm the details. Once you’re satisfied, click “Confirm” to complete the process.
